Celebrating 54 years of supporting the artists and larger community of South Los Angeles, Marsha Hopkins and Patsy Pitts of R.A.P. Cities Artists, using the convenience of Zoom, described their organization's past and ongoing projects, including how Rotary has supported them and how we might add our contributions to their several programs.
From their presentation: "Our initiatives include public art murals, youth creative workshops, sourdough and food education programs, community beautification projects, and therapeutic art experiences that support veterans and underserved populations. Through these efforts, we foster confidence, connection, self-expression, and community pride while promoting environmental stewardship."
Our Board will be deciding how we wish to help at our next meeting.
