february Students of the Month

Nora Landgreen Honored
Nora displays her Certificate next to proud parents Ian and Sonya and Grandpa William.  Characterized as "Driven" by her HVS teachers, Nora has a wide range of interests and accomplishments.  Athletically, she plays both flag football and soccer, while pursuing her artistic side by singing and playing piano.  Academically she enjoys reading and writing, and somehow finds time to bake when at home.  Congratulations, Nora!

Rotary Honors Kennett Venable
Kennett and mom Denise beam next to Principal Bledsoe and Rotary President Angie at the February Students of the Month luncheon.  A drummer in the HVS Jazz Band, Kennett is looking forward to the upcoming Glenn Miller Orchestra performance March 10  (see next article).   Identified as "Creative" by his teachers, Kennett also enjoys art, including helping out at Sunrise Assisted Living with resident art projects.  But he doesn't stop there.  He is a proud participant in the Math Olympiad, and rounds out his academics with a love of Social Studies.   Congratulations, Kennett!

Hermosa Rotary is proud to sponsor a special performance by the world famous Glenn Miller Orchestra, benefitting the HVS Music Program.
Tickets are only $35.

“That’s a wrap!” Hermosa Beach Rotary President-elect, Cole Mueller, at D5280’s Hollywood party on Saturday night.  Eleven Rotary districts from seven states (Hawaii, California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Montana) met at the LAX Marriott for the February 2026 Southwest Rotary PELS (President-Elect Leadership Seminar). The event brings together over 800 incoming club presidents and leaders for training!  Los Angeles well represented!
